Healing Extraction Work Extraction work involves “divination” or “sourcing out” where in the body there is energy blockage or if there is a necessity to remove an“intrusion” wrongfully attached to the body, mind or sprit. In Tibetan shamanism and may other shamanic traditions shamans go to the actual “spiritual origin of the intrusion." This work can go to the many energy forms contained in the cosmos within and the external cosmos. For example a shaman can use a particular healing extraction technique to restore better physical health to a client by removal or release of a wrongful intrusion that may be manifesting in grief and or depression in a client’s life. Frequently the source of this intrusion may be in spirit but manifesting in the client’s body. Shamans use many different extraction techniques such as doing the work
through embodiment of animals, guides, and or allies. They can also embody
the spirit of dance to work with individuals, their families and the community. Extreme care is taken when using these extraction tools and techniques. There are very specific methods, procedures, and dispersal techniques to be followed implicitly when matter is extracted. What is done in non-ordinary reality must be honored and followed through to completion here in the real world. Especially what was done and negotiated with by Spirit. Such techniques can only be learned first hand from an experienced shaman teacher. A healing is not necessarily a cure. A healing can be a challenge that lights our fires. It can lift repression and denials not bliss. Science and technology, traditional medicine, and psychotherapy cannot
cure all ills. |
